Who we are

Ma3ashak is a job platform for Lebanon. For anything about your data, email us at [email protected].

If you're looking for a job

• No account, no CV stored. When you tap Apply, your own email app opens. Your email and CV go directly from you to the employer — they never pass through Ma3ashak.
• Reports. If you report a job, we store your reason and message. To stop spam we also keep a one-way scrambled code made from your internet address; it can't be turned back into the address.
• Job alerts (optional). If you sign up for new jobs by email, we store your email, the categories, district and minimum salary you chose, and your language — only to send you job alerts. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we delete your email when you ask.
• Apply counts. We count how many times Apply is tapped on each job, without any personal data, to know which jobs are popular.
• Light/dark and language choice. Saved only in your own browser.

If you're an employer

When you create an account and post jobs, we store:

• your login email;
• your company name, and optionally your website, logo and phone number;
• your job posts, and the email you choose for receiving CVs.

Who can see what

• Everyone: your job posts, company name and logo — except on jobs you mark as confidential, where they're hidden.
• Only a job seeker who taps Apply: the email you chose for receiving CVs. It's never shown on the site itself.
• Only the Ma3ashak team: your login email, phone number and real company name, so we can review jobs and contact you about them.

Why we use it

To run the site, review jobs before they go live, stop scams and spam, and contact employers about their posts. Nothing else. We don't show ads and don't use tracking cookies.

Cookies

Only two small ones: a login cookie that keeps employers signed in, and one that remembers the language you chose. No tracking cookies.

Companies that help us run Ma3ashak

• Supabase — stores our database and handles employer logins.
• Vercel — hosts the website.

They only process data to provide these services to us. Your data may be stored on their servers outside Lebanon.

How long we keep it

Employer data stays while the account exists. Old job posts are kept for our records after they expire. Ask us to delete your account and data at any time and we'll do it within 30 days.

Your rights

Under Lebanese law (Law No. 81 of 2018) you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email [email protected] and we'll reply as soon as we can.

Keeping it safe

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Private data is locked in our database so that only the parts of the site that need it — and our team — can read it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
